K-2 News
In You and Your World, we continued our discussion on Aboriginal communities. We read a poem called the Summer's Song. Then we each created our own chart, which compared shelter, food and travel between long ago and now.

In French we read a poem called Le Petit Poisson. Then we drew a picture that represented the lesson in the poem: that everyone is special in their own way.

Grade 1 News
In Literacy, we talked about how important it is to sound out words we are reading/writing. We also talked about how important it is to know how to spell our word wall words. Some students shared some their retells that we have been working on.

In Math, we review 2-D and 3-D shapes. Then we got to draw our own robot using the shapes we have been talking about.
