K-2 News
1. There is dance for K-2 tomorrow night, May 17th, from 6pm-7pm here at the school.
2. The K-2 Dance Program is Wednesday after school from 2pm-2:50pm. Please write a note in your child's agenda stating that they are coming and who is picking them up
3. Our first K-2 Curriculum night is this Wednesday, May 18th, from 6pm-7pm in the cafeteria

Today in Journal Writing we wrote about "If I could be any animal in the world I would be a....." We also practiced our poem for the assembly at the end of the month.

Grade 1 News
Homework is due on Friday. Please read with your child every night and remind them to use the strategies we have been talking about in class. Our spelling words this week are does, must, other, part, another. The spelling test is on Friday as well.

In Literacy, we played a spelling game, using our words from last week. Then we started writing a shared retell about Sophia's trip to the Eye Doctor. We talked about how it is important to use transition words such as first, next, then, after, finally, last, etc.

In Math, we started a new unit on Addition and Subtraction of numbers up to 20. This is going to be a fun unit. Please practice both addition and subtraction with your child whenever you can.
