This Friday is PJ day, so wear your favourite PJs to school!
Today in Journal Writing we wrote retells about Fun Day and the Relay for Life.
Grade 1 News
Homework this week is to continue practicing those sight words until your child knows them. Also, please read every night with your child. Ask them questions about what they have read and this will let you know if they understand what they read :)
In Literacy, I have been testing their reading levels and many students are moving up! Reading every night at home is very important. We took a break from writing retells today, we spent the morning doing word work, and read to self/someone.
In Math, we did an investigation using fact families. We split into teams and tried to find all the "family members" to the fact 4+6=10. The teams did a great job!
Celebrates
